Hi, welcome to my blog. I decided to write this to share my day to day experience relating to alcoholism, addiction and spirituality - and a bit of humor from time to time..
I have been heroin free for over ten years and alcohol free since August 2006, but I have struggled with spirituality for decades.
But seriously, my life is greatly improved since attending AA meetings and re-awakening my spiritual side - hopefully my "stuff" will help others.

Hi again, and sorry for the lack of post’s of late – I’m still flat out at work, late shift and so not much family time, meetings, or anything else But actually I’m grateful to be sober and feeling pretty good ;-D Seems to me I’ve not mentioned anything about drinking for ages. If you’ve got a problem with alcohol, or anything else for that matter, and you’ve just found this blog, stick around. Have a look at some of the older posts, click on some of the movies and links. If alcohol is your problem, check out AA. Going to meetings is the main thing that has consistently kept me away from a drink, and allowed me to learn to change my life.
As for the rest, this is my way of relating to “a power greater than myself”, and the tools and ideas that are helping in my recovery, and in every aspect of my life today. EFT (emotional freedom technique) is nothing short of amazing. A problem I have in recovery is that I have no memory of huge chunks of my past, because I spent a lot of time in “blackout”. Even before the alchohol and drugs, my “ism” had blocked out huge chunks of my childhood memory… I am finding that as I treat a particular general area with EFT, for example “my general moodiness”, that the more specific thought/cause comes to mind. Then I treat that with EFT, and so on.
This stuff is really working for me, hopefully it can help you too. stay tuned, the late shift is finishing soon so I’ll be posting more often ;-D

As usual I’ve been manic with work,family,meetings etc,
but fear not, I have been researching a fair bit as well
EFT continues to amaze! My Toothache has completely gone ,
and I am finding improvements in my thinking all the time, in fact “defects of character” is seeming to mean “opportunity for improvement” right now.
Popular opinion seems to be that it’s the best complete reference on the subject, as well as being very accessible and easy to read.
A great source of information on EFT and the law of attraction is David Childerley, a respected therapist and EFT expert, who you will recognise from some of the youtube videos on this page-there are lots more available for download at www.myGenie.tv
Another topic I have been looking at lately is the fast approaching “End of the Mayan Calendar” By far the best information I have seen so far is Ian Xel Lungold’s Amazing Video Lecture.(updated-check my post “now THIS is exciting“)
